The Caspian Lake, known as the “secret sea of the East” in the district, shows great interest to holidaymakers in summer. While skiing is done at the summit of Hazarbaba Mountain at an altitude of 2347 with a lake view, Paragliding on Hazarbaba Mountain welcomes enthusiasts these days.
Pilots from the surrounding provinces, particularly Elazig, flocked to the Sivrice district for the paragliding event organized by the Sportive Aviation Club. During their flights from the summit of Mount Hazarbaba, vibrant and colorful images adorned the skies, captivating spectators below.

Spotlighting paragliding on Hazarbaba Mountain event, Kenan Şaksu, the Coach of the Elazığ Sportive Aviation Club, expressed,

During the summer months, many visitors come from neighboring regions, particularly from Eastern and Southeastern provinces like Diyarbakır, Erzincan, Tunceli, Malatya, and Adıyaman. This is because our region boasts exceptional potential in paragliding and aviation. Our aim is to showcase the achievements here to the entire nation.”
